AS IS LIFE! .. .

AS IS LIFE! .. .

So painting – the life of paint – is a struggle!

and a trial, and a test – as is life!

There must be patience, endurance and some agony

for the ecstasy, for the moments,

for the brief moments of joy are born not made

The life must be nourished, encouraged, developed

but it comes of itself

It is born amidst anguish and labour

As a mother bears a child – as is life!

.. .

ROUALT NUDE

Here is an example of Georges Roualt’s work and how his artistic observation transcends the usual social mores to create something sincere, immediate and breathtakingly beautiful without overdue descriptive line,  the need to be judgemental or show prejudice in any shape or form.
